Conlanging

WIENERLAND allows us to explore the fascinating world of conlanging. A "constructed language" is a language, that was built for a certain purpose and stands in contrast with natural languages. Conlangs have their own working grammar, vocabulary and special phonological characteristics. You probably know such languages from Tolkien's Middle Earth and Game of Thrones (Dothraki, Valyrian). And because we're so massively lost in our world, we of course also create our own letters and writing system.

Mit Wienerland können wir in die unglaubliche Welt des Conlanging eintauchen. Eine "Consructed Language" ist eine Sprache, die für einen bestimmten Zweck entwickelt wurde und steht im Gegensatz zu den natürlichen Sprachen. Sie verfügt über funktionierende Grammatik, einem eigenen Vokabular und hat auch spezielle phonologische Eigenschaften. Solche Sprachen gibt es unter anderem in Tolkiens Mittelerde (Elbisch) und Game of Thrones (Dothraki, Valyrian). Und so versunken, wie wir in diese Welt sind, entwickeln wir außerdem natürlich auch eine eigene Schrift.
