Our VFX artist Christof G. Dertschei started creating a giant naked mole rat for the WIENERLAND teaser production and took several pictures of the different stages in the creation process - check back soon for pictures of the finished mole rat! The preparations for our shooting in less than a month are in full swing!

Last week we had our first up-to-date Wienerland styling test and it went amazingly well! We want to thank our crew once again: without your passion and hard work this would have never been possible. Losing our planned location was bad, but we didn't let it get to us (at least not too much) and finally found a new one! The new location is simply great: It offers us lots of different possibilities and inspires us to keep on working hard on our series.

Today we learned how adjustable one has to be when it comes to film production and creating a new world the hard way. While we were really lucky thus far, we suffered a severe setback. The location on which we wanted to shoot almost the complete teaser does not longer exist. Hundreds of meters of dark tunnels, amazing buildings... gone. And so the search starts all over again.

WIENERLAND allows us to explore the fascinating world of conlanging. A "constructed language" is a language, that was built for a certain purpose and stands in contrast with natural languages. Conlangs have their own working grammar, vocabulary and special phonological characteristics. You probably know such languages from Tolkien's Middle Earth and Game of Thrones (Dothraki, Valyrian). And because we're so massively lost in our world, we of course also create our own letters and writing system.

The teaser preproduction for our own spaghetti fantasy epic has finally started! We got us our domain and Facebook fansite and currently work like hell on creating lots of interesting content for you. Remember to check back!
