Losing our planned location was bad, but we didn't let it get to us (at least not too much) and finally found a new one! The new location is simply great: It offers us lots of different possibilities and inspires us to keep on working hard on our series.

We are so incredibly proud to introduce our new concept artist - Mr. David Johnson from Missoula, USA. He is an amazing illustrator who will create our landscapes and posters and thus contribute enormously to how our world is going to look and feel.

The script for the WIENERLAND teaser is finished. Jan finally found the right words to voice his thoughts and ideas. The result is not only a first draft, but the complete and 100 % finished script, to read over and over again. Feels great!

So now that we got that - when do we start shooting?

The next leading role was cast: Jeannine Mik will play our second main character. The young girl Atalja may seem weak, but cheats her way through life quite well... most of the time. We're happy to have Jeannine in our team and are really looking forward to working with her!

Cros surpassed himself once again and now we can finally proudly present our "emblem". You'll see it several times throughout our character's journey, but beware: Hardly any good's gonna come of that.

Today we learned how adjustable one has to be when it comes to film production and creating a new world the hard way. While we were really lucky thus far, we suffered a severe setback. The location on which we wanted to shoot almost the complete teaser does not longer exist. Hundreds of meters of dark tunnels, amazing buildings... gone. And so the search starts all over again.

WIENERLAND allows us to explore the fascinating world of conlanging. A "constructed language" is a language, that was built for a certain purpose and stands in contrast with natural languages. Conlangs have their own working grammar, vocabulary and special phonological characteristics. You probably know such languages from Tolkien's Middle Earth and Game of Thrones (Dothraki, Valyrian). And because we're so massively lost in our world, we of course also create our own letters and writing system.

We're happy that we can finally brag about having cast our first leading role for the WIENERLAND teaser and web series: H.C. Haas is going to play "Gruben", a straying smuggler. We were looking for a crazy, unpredictable guy with a good heart - and that's exactly what we found! 

H.C. Haas hat das Rennen um die Rolle des herumstreunenden Schmugglers "Gruben" gewonnen und somit steht einer der Hauptcharaktere für Wienerland endlich fest. Gesucht haben wir einen durchgeknallten, unberechenbaren Typen mit gutem Herz - und genau das auch gefunden!
